Wow. That movie was long and poorly done. Visually stunning. No pace whatsoever though and they left out a lot that would have brought it together, I think, and kept a lot that was pretty, but that really did nothing for the piece as a film. Oh, and they also changed the ending. The graphic novel is *much* better than the movie.

…well, plus the character that I drew. Plus the words I’m writing here. Plus the video itself. I mean, a picture is worth a thousand words, which averaged out is probably like 6000 characters or 43 full length tweets. Most online videos are 12 fps, so 12 x 43 = 516 tweets per second, so a minute long video would be 30,960 tweets long and one that is 3 minutes and 33 seconds long, like the one in today’s comic, is probably worth about 109,908 tweets. I personally broke 7000 tweets today on my Twitter account, which caused me, upon reflection, to tweet the following: “i’ve tweeted over 7000 times. roughly 980,840 characters or about 163,473 words (assuming average 6 char per word) could’ve written a book!”

Hopefully this will eventually turn into something useful for this blog.

I have several back-logged sketches for comics, but I’ve been busy and I’m trying to actually think about story-lines and what makes a comic funny ha ha rather than just funny “eh.”

Major Toht was the name of the character in Raiders of the Lost Ark whose face melts at the end. He was played by Ronald Lacey who was cast in the part because he reminded Spielberg of Peter Lorre. All this is according to Wikipedia, so who knows? But when I drew this guy, I thought, “That looks like Major Toht… or his son. Major Toht wouldn’t wear that outfit.”

My friend, Eliot, says that he looks like a “Bollywood Bill Cosby” promoting his new film Ghost Dad. I think he looks like a thinner Glick. As if Glick were the replacement for Jared Fogle in all those Subway ads. Have you ever noticed that Jared still looks fat. I mean looking at him, something about him looks like it is supposed to be fat or it was fat or it still is fat but because of the Subway corporation capturing Doctor Who, locking him in a dungeon, and surgically installing the Tardis in a special magical Subway that Jared ate, now all his fatness is contained in a body much smaller than should be able to hold it, due to a wormhole displacement that you humans can’t really understand, so why should we Time Lords bother explaining?

I have two masters degrees: a Master of the Arts in English Studies and a Master of Philosophy (which is what they give someone who doesn’t bother to write a dissertation at the doctoral level) in English. The focus for the second degree was modern literature and literary criticism, which means, basically, that I read a lot of philosophy and a lot of lit critics who thought they were philosophers.

It took me two post-graduate degrees to figure out that the majority of these words that everyone studies so diligently are largely wastes of time… like this comic!

I promise one of these days, this comic will start being funny. Right now, it’s in its early somber creation phase.
